CD Bean Counters

The numbers are in, and 481,000 is enough to debut Lady Antebellum's new album, Need You Now, at No. 1 its first week on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. Part of this success is due to the number one hit “Need You Now.” The new album has already claimed almost one-third the sales total of the trio's self-titled debut album, which has sold 1,453,000 million copies to date. By comparison, their debut album sold 43-thousand in its opening week, debuting at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 in May 2008. Need You Now has racked up the best first-week sales since Taylor Swift's Fearless sold 592,000 during its first week in November 2008.

Meanwhile, Josh Turner released his new album Haywire on Tuesday. Fans have two versions of the album to pick up; one is the regular album and the other is a Deluxe Fan edition that give four addition tracks along with the video for “Why Don’t We Just Dance.”
