Faith Hill is getting ready for the first ever live CMT Crossroads with The Prentenders, airing this weekend during the Super Bowl Fan Jam. Despite her busy schedule, Faith still found time to indulge her feminine side and release True, the second fragrance in her collection. Faith admits that though she knows how to pick the right notes for her music, picking the right notes for her new scent was not as simple and required a little gut instinct. “I’m pretty sensitive in that regard,” said Faith, “So I’m able to pick up on things that I like or dislike pretty quickly easily. It is a process, and it’s tedious, and it’s not that glamorous of a process!”
Last Friday night, Taylor Swift gathered with family, friends, bandmates and music industry executives to celebrate her career successes before she launches her 90-date world tour next month in Singapore. The party was held at the Hard Rock Café in downtown Nashville. Several awards presented were for the No. 1 success of her "Mine" single and video, and a plaque from the Recording Industry Association of America commemorating total shipments of more than 13 million records. The party was billed as "Heavy Metal at the Hard Rock."
Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman were recently surprised by Nicole’s adopted children with gifts to celebrate their new baby, Faith Margaret. Nic’s elder children, 18 year-old Isabella and 16 year-old Connor, live with ex-husband Tom Cruise, but sent their mom a hamper filled with designer gifts, including gourmet cupcakes, a mobile from Pottery Barn, and a certificate for American Girl Place made out to the couple’s first child, Sunday Rose. Faith was born on this past December 28th through a surrogate.
Former American Idol finalist Danny Gokey is stepping out to defend one of this season’s contestants. You may remember Danny’s story: his wife passed away due to complications during heart surgery just weeks before his Idol audition. This season, a similar story emerged as Chris Medina auditioned and shared that his fiancée had been in an accident that left her with brain damage. After seeing that people were already bashing Chris on the internet, Danny took to Twitter saying, “People hated me 4 sharing my story on idol & now Im already seeing their starting 2 bash Chris Medina for his. His story will help many!!” Danny added that you should never be ashamed to share your story, that it “makes you who you are”. Chris is one of the many who made it to Hollywood and will move on to the next round on the show.

Accoridng to an online poll of 2,230 adults, Tim McGraw, George Strait, Rascal Flatts and Alan Jackson are among America's Top 10 favorite musical acts. Celine Dion led the list, with Tim charting at number 5, George at number 7, Rascal Flatts at number 8 and Alan tying with Frank Sinatra at number 9. In a demographic breakdown of the results, Rascal Flatts ranked highest among single women and people between the ages of 18 and 33. Tim was tops with respondents from the Midwest. Caution: Hot Bachelors Ahead
Yesterday, it was revealed that Gary Allan took the lion’s share of the votes to become Country Weekly’s hottest bachelor. The rest of the Top 10 have been announced. Are you ready?
Gary Allan – is it the tattoos or just something sexy about getting off on the pain?
Chris Young – always ranked highly, it will be a devastation to the voting public if Chris ever marries.
Josh Thompson – ladies are lovin’ a man that can bring home the beer.
Chuck Wicks – six words: dance routines in the silk jammies.
Keith Anderson – who doesn’t love Mr. XXL?
Danny Gokey – last year’s Idol voters are still fresh in practice for their man.
Jake Owen – a man that promises an 8 second ride cannot NOT get the ladies attention.
Bucky Covington - Buckaneers love their man. Just wait, the country audience in general hasn’t even heard his sexy song yet.
Phil Vassar – the piano man is still tinkling the ivories of the voter’s hearts.
Stephen Barker Liles – from Love & Theft. One third of the group is married; the other third will surely be envious of this title.

CRS Day Three
Brooks & Dunn made the "big announcemnt" at lunchtime. Later, Alan Jackson joked, "I knew those two would end up getting married someday." Seriously, Brooks & Dunn decided to honor the heritage of the music that has provided them with a career by donating the proceeds of their last concert to the Country Music Hall & Fame. The show will be August 10th in Nashville, with a string of big guest stars to be annouced later.
Alan Jackson played a casual show for lunch. He was his own Alan Jackson jukebox, as he played requests called out by the audience and just winged his way through a non-playlisted set. He through in a couple of new songs, but admitted to the downside of hearing new music live for the first time - it's hard to understand the lyrics and gist of the song. Musically, Alan and The Strayhorns sounded wonderful, but the lunchtime gig brought back some not-so-pleasant memories for Alan as he recounted his early days in Nashville playing music at a greasy spoon for 4 hours for $25. Watching everyone eat lunch while he sang reminded him of those days, yet this time he didn't even get the money! The latest American Idol to get a deal in Nashville, newcomer Danny Gokey, opened the show. He played a short set that included his first single, "My Best Days Are Ahead of Me," and wrapped up with a touching song dedicated to his late wife, "I Won't Say Goodbye."
After the afternoon seminars on the radio businees, it was on to another songwriter's showcase. It seems that each year at CRS a legendary artist is featured in some capacity, and this year was no exception. Tom T. Hall was given his due respect as he emerged from behind the curtain to a standing ovation which literally cut off the speaker's introduction of the legendary songwriter. At 73, Tom T. Hall is as spry and sharp-tongued as a man half his age. He said that he has been retired for 12 years and doesn't get out much anymore. As a matter of fact, he noted that he was missing an episode of Gunsmoke just to make this rare appearance at CRS. The audience showed its appreciation as Tom T. sang three songs, including his classics "The Day Clayton Delaney Died," and "I Love," the latter written to counter a psychological exercise to list all things you hate in order to change the behavior. Tom T. decided that he would write about things he loved. At the time, radio loved it because it was so short, and it went on to become his fourth number one hit.
Sheepishly following Tom T. Hall, Easton Corbin came out with songwriter, Wynn Varble to sing and tell a few stories behind their respective hits, "A Little More Country Than That," (originally written for Blaine Larsen who never cut it), "Waitin' On A Woman," and "Things That Never Cross A Man's Mind," (not intended for a woman, Kellie Pickler, to sing. Actually, Wynn had no idea who Kellie was when he was told that she cut the song. Wynn thought that "Kelly" was a "he" and it was his kids that had to inform him that "Kellie" was from American Idol.)
