Lady Antebellum threw a party this week for their fourth consecutive #1 single, “Our Kind of Love.” During the gathering, the trio was surprised with news that their sophomore album, Need You Now, has sold over three million copies and has been certified triple platinum. Lady A has spent more weeks at the number one spot on the charts in the past 12 months than any other country artist. …. Sugarland, Lee Brice, and The Band Perry all have something to celebrate this week, as well. Each artist received gold certification by the RIAA for their current singles. Sugarland’s “Stuck Like Glue” Lee’s first gold single “Love Like Crazy” , and The Band Perry’s first gold single “If I Die Young” have all sold over 500-thousand digital downloads. ….. And finally, like everyone in the Mesilla Valley who has shown pink spirit, the Grand Ole Opry is going to join the fight against breast cancer with the second annual Opry Goes Pink event to benefit Women Rock For The Cure and the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Next Friday, The Judds will be on hand to change the Opry’s signature barn backdrop to pink, and Brad Paisley’s wife and actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley will be a guest announcer. Opry Goes Pink will extend this year to opry.com, which will go pink for the day on October 15th and will host an online pink auction beginning on Tuesday.
