Darius Rucker is a huge football fan! So how does a country artist combine his love of football and entertain his fan? He launches his End Zone Obsession Football Challenge. The competition allows fans to compete with one-another, or Darius, for a chance to win prizes by choosing real-time team statistics and competitor picks. At the end of each round, the ten highest point earners will receive prizes. The three fans with the end-of-season highest cumulative point totals will also receive awards, with the top point earner winning a grand prize trip for two to Hawaii for one of football's biggest weekends. Check it out on Darius' website.
Carrie Underwood graces the October cover of Women’s Health magazine where she discusses her marriage with Mike Fisher, her routine when she’s off the road, and what she thinks is her best physical feature - her legs. When Carrie is able to catch her NHL husband’s hockey games, she says, “I love cheering for my man. When I come home, I’m accused of picking up the Canadian accent.” Carrie is currently on the second leg of her Play On tour, and when she’s not on the road, she likes to keep her plans low-key. She says, “I’d sleep in a little, work out, do laundry, run errands, buy presents for people with birthdays coming up.”
And finally, Big Kenny is partnering with the video game Rock Band to bring donations to Nashville’s flood victims. The organization Rock Band Relief helps artists convert their music into playable songs for the video game series. Big Kenny contributed his songs, “One More Time” and “Happy People.” The songs are currently in the play-testing period and will go through the reviewing process before they will be available for download.
