Dolly Parton will be returning to the big screen with Queen Latifah for a new gospel-choir movie, Joyful Noise. The story will follow Dolly and Queen Latifah as they are forced to work together to save a gospel choir after budget cuts threaten to shut down the program. Dolly will play the choir director’s widow, while Queen Latifah plays a military wife with two teens. Shooting will start in January.

Jimmy Wayne is set to co-author a fictional book based on his hit song “Paper Angels.” Negotiations for the book began a year before his Meet Me Halfway campaign. Jimmy will write the book with Travis Thrasher who is known as the “Nicholas Sparks of Christian fiction.” Jimmy’s “Paper Angels” song is based on the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program, which helps bring Christmas gifts to underprivileged kids. Jimmy and his sister Patricia were once recipients of the Angel Tree program. And in case you’re wondering, Jimmy doesn’t plan to write a book about his Meet Me Halfway campaign, Instead, he wants to hand over his journal and have it published as is - misspelled words, bad grammar, scratches, water spots and all.

Rosanne Cash will debut on the New York Times Best Seller list next week with her memoir, Composed. The book outlines her memories growing up as Johnny Cash’s eldest daughter and finding her own place as a performer, daughter, and mother. The book has received amazing reviews and was described by best-selling author Adriana Trigiani as “A lush and glorious memoir that is wise and knowing, humorous and full of hope.”

And finally, Jason Aldean has scheduled his new album, My Kinda Party, for a November 2nd release. The 15-song album also includes a duet with Kelly Clarkson called "Don't You Wanna Stay" and a Southern rap song, "Dirt Road Anthem." Jason recorded the project with his touring band.
