The bi-coastal, multi-network telethon for Haiti Relief is coming together. George Clooney has worked tirelessly to get it organized and on the air on most networks for two hours tonight. If you miss it, you’re not watching TV. The guestlist includes: Wyclef Jean, Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Shakira and Sting (in New York City), Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Dave Matthews, John Legend, Justin Timberlake, Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift and a group performance by Keith Urban, Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow (in Los Angeles) and Coldplay and a group performance by Bono, the Edge, Jay-Z and Rihanna in London. Celebrities appearing on the special include: Bill Clinton, Ben Stiller, Brad Pitt, Chris Rock, Clint Eastwood, Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, Jon Stewart, Julia Roberts, Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Meryl Streep, Morgan Freeman, Nicole Kidman, Robert Pattinson, Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Hanks, Will Smith, Muhammad Ali and many others. The event will raise money to assist the victims of the earthquake and subsequent significant aftershocks that occurred this month. There will be several special group performances which will be available for purchase through Apple iTunes stores. All proceeds will benefit relief funds managed by Hope for Haiti Now charities.

If you call in a pledge, you may just get to talk to Taylor Swift. Not only will Taylor perform, she will be working the phone bank as well. Taylor tells Nashville’s newspaper The Tennessean, “I’ve never actually worked a phone bank before, but I want to do everything I can to help out this horrible situation. This one was an immediate yes.” .... Earlier in the week, Bucky Covington volunteered time to work the Red Cross phone bank to aid that organization in the coordination of donations. ,,,,, Meanwhile, Big Kenny of Big & Rich is doing everything in his power to support those in Haiti after arriving Wednesday night with 10 doctors. Big Kenny describes the situation in his recent blog stating, “The outpouring of aid from around the world that I am witnessing is none short of amazing.”
