Feel Good Friday

So what’s up with Carrie Underwood’s wedding plans. Some of the details were discussed on the red carpet at the People’s Choice Awards. Carrie revealed her engagement ring is actually a yellow diamond worth 150-thousand dollars. She said that she had been leaving jewelry boxes around her room with the name of a jewelry designer she had worked with in the past. Fiance Mike Fisher eventually got the hint and called Jonathan Arndt to design the ring. As for wedding planning, Carrie has been clipping photos from magazines that inspire her and says although she’s always wanted a small wedding, they each have too large of families so they will have to plan a larger wedding. Carrie says that around 200 people may be in attendance, and being a southerner, she likes big hair and mascara, so that will more than likely dominate her wedding day look.

On this year’s Grammy compilation CD, Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, Zac Brown Band, Rascal Flatts and Sugarland will represent country music. The 20-track record is scheduled to be released on January 19th with proceeds going to the MusiCares Foundation and the Grammy Foundation.

Faith Hill has signed to Red Light Management, the same firm that signed her husband, Tim McGraw, to its roster in April 2009. Based in Charlottesville, Virginia, the management company also represents Dave Matthews Band. After parting ways with Borman Entertainment in November after 16 years of representation, Faith is currently working on an album expected to be released later this year.
