Thursday Night Dancin'

Four for the price of one at Graham Central Station tonight! The Black River Music Group has put together a label roster concert that is touring Graham’s around the country. On the bill tonight, see up-and-coming performers Rick Ferrell, Emma Jacob, and Sarah Darling, as well as the deep voice behind such hits as “Long Slow Kisses,” “I Want To Make You Cry,” and “The Love Song,” - Jeff Bates. The concert series was the brainchild of Black River Music Group. Earlier this year, there was a contest with University/College Film Schools to create, produce, shoot, and edit a video for Sarah Darling. BRMG partnered with CMT Online to show the videos and after a month of voting, a winner was chosen. Scottsdale Community College won the contest. Part of the prize package for the winning school was a concert by Sarah Darling. Graham Central Station in Phoenix just happened to be a convenient place to hold the concert. Since thre was plenty of room, BRMG decided to give the winning students a bonus, and expand the show to feature all the artists on the label. All of the artists use the same band, so it is easier to showcase all the talent without the cumbersome set changes between acts. The show was so successful, BRMG took the show on the road to tour Graham’s across the country. And that, my friends, is how the show ended up in Las Cruces tonight. Admission is $10 (21+) or $5 with a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.
