Tonight is the premiere of CMT Crossroads: Taylor Swift & Def Leppard. She and lead singer Joe Elliott swapped lyrics on the hits Photograph, Hysteria, Pour Some Sugar On Me, Picture to Burn, and Love Story. Taylor says her mom was a big Def Leppard fan while she was growing up and that the collaboration fulfilled a childhood dream. Joe joked that Taylor wasn’t even born yet when they had some of their hits.

Joining the ranks of Julio Iglesias, Jr. and Sebastian Bach, another celebrity is going to try to go country. The cast of CMT’s Gone Country 3 has been announced as:
George Clinton – funk musician with the bands Parliament and Funkadelic
Tara Conner – television personality; Miss USA 2006
Taylor Dayne – pop vocalist/actress
Micky Dolenz – of The Monkees
Sheila E. – entertainer/musician; philanthropist
Richard Grieco – actor/musician
Justin GuariniAmerican Idol runner up to Kelly Clarkson
Host John Rich and the cast are in production now for a January premeire.

Big numbers are coming in for Toby Keith. With a limited theatrical release, it’s not surprising that the network television premiere of Beer For My Horses would turn into one of CMT’s highest-rated programs of the year Sunday night. Between its two airings, 3.5 million people watched the film. The DVD comes out on Tuesday. With 90,000 copies out the door the first week, Toby’s newest CD That Don’t Make Me A Bad Guy debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Album chart and the number five on the Billboard 200 Albums chart.

Somebody at FOX News must have seen the recent Shape magazine cover. At least Faith is in good shape for her PBS Soundstage Christmas Special. Faith will be joined by a 31-piece orchestra and 9-person choir when she makes her first and only full performance of her Christmas album, Joy To The World. The show will premiere Thanksgiving week and repeat throughout December on PBS.

And finally, what’s a Feel Good Friday without some fast-paced, flashy fun? Tomorrow, Bucky Covington and his twin brother, Rocky, celebrate their 31st birthday. Bucky’s tour schedule says the party’s at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Approximately 1,615 miles away. That’s quite a walk. Lucky for us, there’s video. And memories. For once upon a time, the boys were a tad closer to home.
Enjoy “It’s Good To Be Us” - Bucky and Rocky’s birthday video. Recognize anything?
