End of the Month Monday

Happy Monday, all. It’s the end of the month, and tonight's the night to watch the re-cap of the CMA Music Fest on ABC. Meanwhile, Today in Taylor World: If you’ve always wanted to eat like Taylor Swift, you’ll soon enough get your chance. Taylor is said to be collecting family recipes for a cookbook. No release date on the project, but Taylor has said that her mom is teaching her how to make brisket so she could have a dinner party with her friends and teach them how to make it.

Carrie Underwood has been working to get her new CATS Foundation off the ground. (Checotah Animal, Town, & School Foundation) She made her first big presentation when she showed up in her hometown of Checotah, OK, and surprised a group of high school students with a performance and a donation of new musical instruments worth $117,000.

It wouldn’t be Labor Day Weekend without the annual Jerry Lewis MDA telethon. This year there will be plenty of country music among the variety of entertainment that raises money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s research. Throughout this weekend’s telecast, look for Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton, Wynonna, Neal McCoy, Leee Greenwood, The Grascals, and many more.
