Tuesday Newsday

Charles Kelley from Lady Antebellum is now not only legally married, but married in heart to fiancĂ© Cassie McConnell. The couple signed the legal papers in the States before a planned destination wedding, rumored to be taking place around the 4th of July holiday weekend. That ceremonial wedding did happen in the Bahamas, so now Lady A has two things to celebrate: a new marriage and a number one song. “I Run To You” has taken Lady A to the top of the charts for the first time.

Look for Trace Adkins in a future episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Trace filmed his episode last Friday in Lancaster, Texas. Trace and other volunteers helped rebuild the home of Carlton Marshall, a Dallas police officer who was shot in the neck in 2007 while serving a narcotics search warrant. Marshall now only has partial mobility and has lost his hearing, so the design team was remodeling his house to be more accessible.

News From Around The Country
Brad Paisley
is the first country artist featured on the MySpace Music Feed. Look for video interviews of Brad talking about his new album and the creative thread flowing through his family. During Rascal Flatts’ appearance on The Today Show last Friday, Matt Lauer presented the group with a plaque for selling 20 million albums. Toby Keith’s next album is about half way done. Tentatively scheduled to be released this fall, the title track of American Ride is already playing on The Country Station. Toby says that the theme of the whole album will make fun of the wackiness that goes on in this country.
