Miranda Lambert has learned a big lesson: never go hog hunting before a big tour starts. She slipped in a creek and whacked up her leg pretty good. She got a tetanus shot and has been treating herself with “Neosporin and Bacardi,” but she’s still been seen limping around stage fighting off a potential infection. She says that she is almost at 100%.
Garth Brooks will be working behind the camera once again. In 2001, Garth co-produced a made-for-TV movie Call Me Claus starring Whoppi Goldberg. This time he is executive producing a Lifetime TV movie based on his hit “Unanswered Prayers.” The movie is said to be in pre-production; no actors have been announced yet but it’s likely to be on TV sometime in 2010.News From Around The Country
Gloriana is going to on tour with Taylor Swift and along the way will be making acoustic appearances at select high schools to perform for the students on lunch period. The Tractors are soon going boogie woogie their way back into the active music business with their first album in six years. Steve Ripley and his multiplatnum band will release Trade Union on May 19, a collection of gospel, country, rock, and boogie woogie music. Look for guest appearances from contributing writers Leon Russell and JJ Cale.

This weekend, Country Weekly’s Hottest Bachelors will be revealed on GAC. Kenny Chesney will visit Late Night with David Letterman and sing “Out Last Night” on May 19, Greatest Hits Two release date. And finally, Collin Raye will be all over the TV next week promoting his new disc, Never Going Back. Tuesday, Collin will be on NBC’s Today Show, and then he’ll do the syndicated Morning Show with Mike & Juliet. While in New York City, Collin will tape Fox News Channel's Hannity for next Friday (5/1) and sing on the CBS Early Show next Saturday (5/2). Also next weekend, Collin should be on Fox News' Huckabee multiple times.
