Happy Feel Good Friday! It’s a big weekend here in the Mesilla Valley. Tonight starts the 2-day NMSU Aggie Rodeo at the fairgrounds, tomorrow is the March for Babies at Young Park and then the NMSU Spring Game in the afternoon, and both days this weekend is the La Vina Blues and Jazz Festival in La Union. Aside from all that, our sister station, Viva Vista, is having a birthday party, and there will be more opportunity to enter to win the Harley. Are we keeping you busy enough? If you must stay on the couch, check out what’s happening in country music:
Miranda Lambert has learned a big lesson: never go hog hunting before a big tour starts. She slipped in a creek and whacked up her leg pretty good. She got a tetanus shot and has been treating herself with “Neosporin and Bacardi,” but she’s still been seen limping around stage fighting off a potential infection. She says that she is almost at 100%.
Garth Brooks will be working behind the camera once again. In 2001, Garth co-produced a made-for-TV movie Call Me Claus starring Whoppi Goldberg. This time he is executive producing a Lifetime TV movie based on his hit “Unanswered Prayers.” The movie is said to be in pre-production; no actors have been announced yet but it’s likely to be on TV sometime in 2010.
