Lady Antebellum plays tonight to a SOLD OUT crowd at Whiskey Dick’s in El Paso. If you have tickets, The Country Station looks forward to seeing you there. Check back this weekend for a recap and photos.
Tomorrow night, Lady A continues on to Peoria, AZ, where Charles, Hillary, and Dave will participate in Earth Hour 2009. So if you're at that show, and the stage lights dim during the performance of “I Run To You,” don’t freak out. That’s just Lady A “paying it forward,” as you see in their latest video. You, too, can participate in Earth Hour tomorrow night. Simply turn off your lights at 8:30 PM local time to show your commitment to take action on climate change.
Here’s the preview of the “I Run To You" video in the band’s latest Wednesday Webisode:
In conjunction with her new CD, Shine, Martina McBride is working with the National Teen Dating Abuse Helpline (NTDAH) to launch a new program called “My Time To Shine.” As the mother of three daughters, Martina knows how important it is to teach teens how to develop healthy relationships. Martina says, "Young people today have more opportunities to make decisions about their lives, and it places a lot of pressure on them early If we can help them to form healthy relationships at an earlier age in life, they will make better choices for life partners, and as a mom, I want to be part of that." As part of the campaign, she will show public service announcements at her concerts, as well as sell special “My Time To Shine” merchandise to raise funds to benefit the teen helpline.
Locally, parents and teens can reach out for the same information at twoshouldknow.org.
