It’s Friday the 13th, and fairly slow in the country news, so what better story for the subtly superstitious than Keith Urban asking an 8 ball if his song would go to number one? A few months ago, Keith was visiting the home of some friends, “In their living room, on the shelf, they have one of those Magic 8 Balls," Keith said. "And so I secretly went over and shook it up and asked it if ”Sweet Thing” might be a No. 1 song. It said, 'Absolutely not.' So for the last handful of weeks, I've been thinking that dreaded 8 Ball has thwarted everything, and it was completely wrong. So I'm happy that the song went No. 1, but I'm more happy that the 8 Ball is absolutely full of it!"
Clint Black will be back for another round of Celebrity Apprentice on Sunday night. He is competing on the men’s team KOTU, and despite the pre-show advice from Trace Adkins, Clint admits he had no idea how hard the show would be. "I knew it was going to be difficult," he said. "But I didn’t realize exactly what I was getting myself into. I did manage to have some fun and enjoyed some of the challenges. I remember calling home and telling Lisa, ‘I don’t belong here.’" Regarding last week’s treatment, Clint said, “They went after me on this last episode. They used some edits that made it look like I was arguing with everyone. The intense unkindness that these people displayed — even when it wasn’t directed at me — was hard to be around. But I know they’ve got to have drama." Considering that last season’s vehicle Secret Talents Of The Stars featured Clint but only lasted one episode, would Clint ever do any more reality? Celebrity Survivor?
"I would never do any reality show ever again," he insisted. "No way. I actually thought my own physical safety was about to be in question at one point. But also, by the time I was finished, the sleep debt was off the charts. I may eat those words one day if someone comes up with the right thing."
