It's the morning after the Super Bowl, Pittsburg is reeling in its victory, and our town is recovering from its holiday hangover. Yesterday afternoon, the streets in town were as quiet as Christmas Day. Local businesses felt the lack of Sunday customers as most seemed to be home watching the Steelers knock down the Cardinals. Or they were just conserving all the cheap gas that's in the tank from last week.
Taylor Swift will launch her first headlining nationwide tour on April 23rd in Evansville, Indiana. Kellie Pickler will open the Fearless Tour 2009 which will hit 56 cities in the U-S, Canada and Australia over the span of six months. In most markets, ticket prices will start at 20 dollars plus local fees. The four part harmonies of new group Gloriana will open the show. The closest the tour is coming to the southwest region is May 21 in Phoenix. Meanwhile,Taylor’s line of dresses she’s been working on for the country’s largest retailer is almost ready. The dresses should be available next month and be priced around a mere 14-dollars.
Kid Rock has been memorialized in fabric. This past Friday night, Kid was on hand at the Palace in Detroit for the rising of a permanent banner in his honor to recognize the 18 shows he’s sold out over time at the arena and its sister venue. His banner has been added to those recognizing Alan Jackson and Neil Diamond, who have also been regular sell-outs at the Detroit venues for the last two decades.
