MLK DAY, Waitin' On Obama

Hope you are enoying your Martin Luther King Day holiday. Tomorrow’s the inauguration. It will be a big week. While you wait, check out Cledus T. Judd’s “Waitin’ On Obama.”

Alan Jackson fans had a rare opportunity this weekend to purchase one of his vintage vehicles. Alan was selling his 1967 Jeepster Commando, 1967 Toyota Land Cruiser and 1969 Chevrolet Camaro at a Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. Alan personally oversaw the restoration process of the vehicles. Jackson's love for vintage cars might well go back to his first car, a 1955 Ford Thunderbird, which he bought for $3,200. With the help of his father, Gene, he restored it. He used to pick up his now-wife Denise when they were dating, but he later sold it in order to buy their first home. After his country career took off, Denise tracked the car down, had it restored and surprised him with the very special gift. The cream-colored convertible sits in Jackson's 12-car garage outside of Nashville, which houses several other vintage cars.

Trace Adkins fans need to clear some room on the DVR for some upcoming appearances.
Wednesday, he'll be on Ellen and perform his Grammy nominated You're Gonna Miss This. Later that day, catch Trace singing Marry For Money on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson. And then on Saturday, Trace does an acoustic performance on Fox's new late night show, Talkshow With Spike Feresten.
