It’s Inauguration Day, and music news is slow, short of the sprinkling of country artists who are performing at various functions related to the Presidential Inauguration.
Just one day shy of the historic Presidential change, Jo Dee Messina and her husband, Chris Deffenbaugh, welcomed their first child. Noah Roger Deffenbaugh was born yesterday at a Nashville-area hospital just after 1 PM. Jo Dee and Chris have been married since October 2007. She will be back in the studio very soon completing work on her 6th studio album, Unmistakable, due for release this spring.
Former American Idols have been added to this year’s GRAMMY Awards performances. Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Hudson will each take a turn alongside previously announced performers Kenny Chesney, The Jonas Brothers, Lil Wayne, Katy Perry, and Coldplay. Catch them all when the GRAMMY Awards air on CBS on February 8th.
