The Power of Twitter

So where’s Jimmy Wayne? Lately, he has been walking through New Mexico on his way to Phoenix, the final destination of his cross-country Meet Me Halfway walk. As reported on Twitter, Jimmy was less than 400 miles away from his destination when a questionable man pulled up beside him and asked if he could walk with him. First, Jimmy asked to take a picture with the man for his twitter, but when the man refused it was Jimmy's first red flag. Jimmy said “It was extremely awkward and obvious that he was no one to be trusted. It was the feeling you get when you know you’re about to get bit by a dog.” Jimmy tweeted his location and asked for help. The tweet caused an abundance of calls from all over the nation to the State Troopers in the area and within 10 minutes, officers arrived. Jimmie walked away unscathed, and the strange man was driven away in the back of a highway patrol car.
