It’s that time of year again …. Idol Gives Back! Carrie Underwood will join Alicia Keys, The Black Eyed Peas, Annie Lennox and Jeff Beck for this year’s show on Wednesday, April 21st. This special Idol episode has made history by raising over 140 million dollars for charity to date. This year’s special will help raise awareness and funs to benefit various US international charities including Children’s Health Fun, and Feeding America.
Dierks Bentley is busy with new music. He has put the finishing touches on his upcoming bluegrass album Up On The Ridge. Look for a cover of U2’s hit “Pride (In The Name Of Love)” with Del McCoury singing the chorus. …. Meanwhile, Tim McGraw is thinking about leaving Curb Records after 20 years of successful music. In a recent interview with the Vancouver Sun, Tim said, “There's just other things I would like to do, and I think the best part of my career is ahead of me." Tim’s not sure if he will sign to another label, but one thing he does know - record labels need to figure out how to adjust in the fast changing industry. “It's not gonna be the way it was before. Labels do need to figure out how they're going to operate in the future, if they're going to operate," added Tim. According to his contract, he has to deliver one more album to Curb before he can consider his options.
