What a way to end the American Saturday Night Tour – in the hospital. Brad Paisley was wrapping up the encore of his show in Charleston, South Carolina, when he tripped as he ran across a downward slope on the stage. He and his guitar went down pretty hard. Stage hands ran out immediately to assist, but Brad got up, walked it off, and said goodbye. Backstage, an ambulance was waiting and Brad was taken to a local hospital to be checked for further injuries. Brad tweeted from the hospital, “Just very very bruised. Nothing broken, had a ct scan all is okay!" Although yesterday, Brad followed up from home, “Man am I sore today. You guys should see the bruise.” Good to know that he’s OK and in good spirits. No word on the guitar's injuries. And you’ve got to love a man who embraces technology. After leaving the hospital, Brad sent another Twitter message regarding his accident, telling fans, "Alright, whoever posts the YouTube footage of it gets a meet and greet. I have got to see it. I hit hard. And I mean freaking hard."
Daisy and Penelopi have a new little “cousin” to boss around. Last Friday, Little Big Town members Karen Fairchild and Jimi Westbrook welcomed their first child, son Elijah Dylan Westbrook. The baby weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces. Daisy and Penelopi are the road-veteran children of bandmates Kimberly Roads Schlapman and Phillip Sweet (and their spouses,) respectively. “Our hearts are bursting with joy for Karen and Jimi,” says Kimberly. “We have dreamed of this moment with them for a long time. We can’t wait to welcome another little angel onto our bus.”
