Monday Comes Around Again

Since you can’t throw an award show these days without giving something to Taylor Swift, it’s no surprise that she would win both her nominations in the Annual Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards last Saturday night. Taylor couldn’t be there in person because of a sold out show in Detroit, so she gave her thanks for Favorite Female Singer and Favorite Song for “You Belong With Me” from the concert stage rather than the award show stage. And, of course, what happens at a concert – goes directly on the internet.

From the file: Tim McGraw/movie star; it looks like Tim’s next role will have him starring with Dwight Yoakam in an upcoming indie flick, Dirty Girl. The movie is set in 1987 and tells the story of Danielle, an Oklahoma high school student with a promiscuous reputation. She leaves home with a boy who is trying to avoid military school, and the two have a road trip adventure in search of the father she never knew. No word on which roles Tim or Dwight are playing. Milla Jovovich, William H. Macy, Mary Steenburgen, Juno Temple, and Jeremy Dozier co-star. It should be released in 2011.

And finally, your next DVR settings. Alan Jackson will be in New York tomorrow for two major television appearances as his 18th album, Freight Train, hits the streets. He’ll begin the day on NBC's Today Show and end the day on CBS's Late Show with David Letterman.
