Tuesday Newsday

Taylor Swift has a small role in the upcoming movie Valentine’s Day, so naturally her music would be a part of the soundtrack. Taylor has two songs on the CD, “Today Was A Fairytale” and “Jump Then Fall.” Jewel and Steel Magnolia also contribute country music to the disc. And because Willie dabbles in everything, sings with everyone, and shows up everywhere, it's not surprising that you'll also find a cut from Willie Nelson, “On The Street Where You Live.” The soundtrack is out February 9th; the movie is out February 12th.

Rockband is expanding its country roster. Seven new songs are being added to the song store including Alan Jackson “Good Time," Cross Canadian Ragweed “Cry Lonely," Jason Aldean “She’s Country," Keith Urban "I Told You So," Kenny Rogers "The Gambler," Martina Mcbride "This One's For The Girls," and Shania Twain "Any Man of Mine."

Brooks & Dunn will receive the Country Radio Broadcasters’ (CRB) Career Achievement Award on February 23rd in Nashville, during the Country Music DJ and Radio Hall of Fame dinner and awards ceremony. The event serves as the unofficial kickoff to the annual Country Radio Seminar, which always provides turning-point events in country music and sets the pace and trends for the upcoming year.

And finally, if you’d like to see a Dierks-cicle, check out the footage of Dierks Bentley's Annual Percy Priest Lake dip:
