People play outdoors in a lot of ways all summer long. Today just seems like the kind of day to twist the throttle, get dirty, and catch some air over a table top jump! Today’s a special day for your humble scribe, so the featured video from Bucky Covington reminds us that no matter what number is attached to your personal yearly holiday, “It’s Good To Be Us.”
News From Around The Country
Missing your meet and greets with your favorite artists? Due to the recent swine flu concerns, many country artists, such as Miranda Lambert and Jason Aldean, have cancelled the handshake-and-photo-op sessions for precautionary reasons. As health officials continue to reassure the public and more time passes from the initial outbreak, some of the artists are now starting to look at resuming the meet and greet events. Country fans can be optimistic that things will look up for the biggest meet and greet of them all – CMA Music Fest – is just a few weeks away. Speaking of which, among the many other fan-driven activities, Jason Aldean will hold a special concert to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a foundation that funds breast cancer research. Jason Aldean: Concert for the Cure will be held June 12 at Nashville's Wildhorse Saloon with special guest Luke Bryan.
