Your reigning Entertainer of the Year, 4-year winner Kenny Chesney, is set for a big night on Sunday. He'll perform his latest single, “Out Last Night,” and Sun City Carnival sponsor, Corona, unveils its latest television commercial--with Kenny in it! Kenny said, “I've been given so many blessings. Just going to rehearsals and hearing the band firing up; seeing the production stuff for this year; knowing that the fans are just as psyched for us to get out there as we are to hit the road; well, that's an awesome feeling. Then you start looking around, realize that Corona's gonna debut a commercial I'm in on the ACM Awards! I couldn't have made that up when I was kid if I tried.”
Meanwhile on GAC, Emily West will be your Fan Correspondent on the Orange Carpet. Emily said, “I’m so excited for my Sin City trip — though I don’t plan on sinning while I’m out there as I’ll be too busy working. I love seeing all of my country music friends and can’t wait to work the orange carpet for GAC – I have the PURRfect dress!” Prior to the Awards Show, a film crew will follow Emily around to document her Vegas experience for an upcoming webisode series.

I am so excited for this show and I can't wait to see everyone. I just hope that country music is not disgraced by having Julianne Hough win the New Artists award since she would not deserve it based on her singing. Why did the Academy decided that a fan vote was a good idea? All it does is make it a contest to see who has more crazy fans who will set up hundreds of emails in order to stuff the ballot box for their favorite. I think that for an award as important as the Best New Artist that the Academy of Country Music should make the decision.
