Tuesday Newsday

Last night on Dancing With the Stars, Chulianne played soda jerks “Chuck” and “Jules” to the sound of “Summertime Blues,” and they Lindy Hopped their way right back into the middle of the pack. Ty Murray and his partner, Chelsie, placed likewise. It’s week four, and it’s obvious who is there to dance and who needs to go home. Both of country’s connections are showing improvement and solid dance skills, so neither is in immediate danger of going home. But both are going to need to step it up over the next few weeks if they want to play with the obvious front runners. Gilles and Cheryl won the first perfect score of the season; Melissa and Tony missed it by a point. These couples are likely the in the finals this year. Giving them a run for their money are Ballas Hough Band members, Mark Ballas and his partner, Shawn Johnson, along with Derek Hough and his partner, Lil Kim. Everyone else is in the middle of the pack or they have got to GO! Tonight there will a double elimination. Likely to go are Holly & Dmitry. Last week, low viewer votes put them in the dance-off, and this week the judges didn’t show them much redemption. Joining them with their final dance will likely be Steve-O & Lacey or Steve & Karina. Take your pick. The judges pan them both; they’re competing for the goofball roll, and several weeks of nonsense is historically enough for the viewers. Although, the geek vote did save Steve Wozniack last week. Could we see a complete blindside tonight, and somebody like say, David & Kym or Lawrence & Edyta be sent unsuspectingly packing? It’s getting to the point where you can see the top and everyone else just has to go. It’s just a matter of order.
