Grammy nominations come out tomorrow, but while we wait some other news of note has been announced. Darius Rucker and Julianne Hough represent country music at TNT’s annual Christmas in Washington special. The event will be taped at the National Building Museum and will premiere on TNT December 17th.
Mark Wills joins Food Network's queen of southern cuisine, Paula Deen, on her holiday special Paula's Party: Butter Than Ever Christmas Party airing December 13th and repeating on December 24th. Mark will sings the Christmas classic, "Silent Night."
Wynonna will release an album of cover songs in February. Sing Chapter 1 will include songs made famous by Tammy Wynette, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Bill Withers, among others.
Keith Urban has announced next summer’s tour. His 5th new studio album should be out at the end of March. Then the tour will kick off in May with supporting acts Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Dierks Bentley, Glen Campbell, Lady Antebellum, and The Zac Brown Band. Tour dates will be announced soon, and tickets should be on sale early 2009. Keith says, “We intend to give people their money’s worth, for sure. We’re looking forward to seeing fans’ reactions to the new material, and we’re seeing how we can put a few new twists on some older material. We’ll play for as long as the venues will let us.”
