
A while back, we told you about the cool New Year’s Eve concert that Trace Adkins was sharing with Lynyrd Skynyrd. The were to open for each other in opposite cities and then swap crowds to headline. That’s been cancelled. Bummer on the economy. The Nashville half of the show was cancelled by the promoter, so Trace pulled out of the Kentucky half to spend time with his family over the holidays. .38 Special will replace Trace in Kentucky.

The airdate has changed for Julianne Hough’s hosting gig on the ABC and Instyle Magazine’s The List special. It will now air Tuesday December 23rd. After just one release, former American Idol Kristi Lee Cook has parted ways with Arista Nashville. This is the second time she’s left the label. (She was signed in 1999, but no music was ever released. She made an independent release in 2005, but Idol in 2008 was her big break.) Dierks Bentley was in Oslo, Norway, yesterday to perform at the 15th annual Nobel Peace Prize concert. Miley Cyrus and Jeffrey Steele have earned their first-ever Golden Globe nods in the Best Original Song for a Motion Picture category as writers of “I Thought I Lost You,” from the animated feature Bolt.
