Gobble! Gobble! Happy Monday

From the looks of the joyful turkey, it must be a holiday week! Yay! It’ll be a short week if you have a cushy job, and a very long Friday if you work retail. Most of us will fall somewhere in between, yet we all need to get those turkeys thawing if we want to have any hope of calling the drumstick on Thursday!

More housekeeping around the blog. K-Great 104 wants to be friends with listeners from around the area. We're already pretty friendly with quite a few country artists, so check out the new KGRT MySpace page! And don't forget to cast your vote in the listener poll.

Word is in from Whiskey Dicks that the ACM / CMA New Artist of the Year, Lady Antebellum, will be paying a visit to El Paso on March 27. (doors at 7 / show at 10) Charles, Hillary, and Dave put on a great show, as documented in this video performance of "Love Don't Live Here," so don’t delay getting your tickets when they go on sale on Black Friday. $20 at Boot Barn and ticketbully.com.

News From Around The Country
After she and Cody were voted off Dancing With The Stars last week, Julianne Hough has announced a departure from the show. The two-time TV dance champion will be spending more time focusing on her music career and will not be a part of the next Dancing season in the Spring. Jessica Simpson is now an aunt. Her sister Ashlee Simpson gave birth to a baby boy last Thursday night named Bronx Mowgli Wentz. Trace Adkins is canceling several weeks of his schedule to recover from a flu-like illness. He will resume performing at the New Years Eve with Lynyrd Skynyrd in Nashville, Tennessee and Pikeville, Kentucky. This could mean he'll miss his scheduled performance at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
