That's What I Love About Thursday...

Life is good at 43. He’s on a new label, has a current single “Love Remembers” on the chart, and he hasn’t broken any body parts on his motocross bike recently. Happy Birthday to Craig Morgan.

Since its inception in 1985, Farm Aid has raised more than $30 million to help American farmers. Willie Nelson is taking Farm Aid to New England this year. "New England was built on the strength of independent family farmers," says Farm Aid board member John Mellancamp. "We can honor that independent spirit by joining Farm Aid to grow the movement that is changing the way all of America eats." In addition to Nelson and Mellancamp, this year's bill includes Neil Young and Dave Matthews, among an array of other pop, rock, and country acts. The concert will be September 20 in Mansfield, Massachusetts.

Kenny Chesney took himself out to the ballgame this week. Tuesday, he was in New York to attend the All-Star Game at Yankee Stadium. Wednesday, he was in in Washington, D.C. to sing 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame' at the White House. Kenny was in DC for a special event on the White House lawn to commemorate the song's 100th anniversary. In addition to meeting President George W. Bush, Kenny sang during the seventh inning stretch at a tee ball game played by kids from all 50 states. It was a fitting event because Kenny is a huge baseball fan. "Deep down, I would love to play second base for the Red Sox," he said. “When I was little, I wanted to be Pete Rose."

News of note: Sugarland will be celebrating the release of Love On The Inside Deluxe Fan Edition on Tuesday, July 22 with two ABC programs. Set your DVR's because Jennifer and Kristian will be on Good Morning America, and then they will go to The View. Word has just been released that The CMA Awards will air live from the Sommet Center in Nashville, Wednesday, November 12 on ABC-TV. And finally, a video has been found for Keni Thomas, "Shreveport to L.A." Enjoy.
