Anybody seen Sean today?

It’s a good day in Seanland. Err, make that Sugarland. The Deluxe Fan edition of the Love on the Inside CD is released today. That means Sean The Night Guy here at The Country Station has some new music from his pretend girlfriend, Jennifer Nettles. Let’s hope in all his excitement, Sean doesn’t just pretend to work tonight. The special CD will feature five extra songs, including the one that fans have been asking for, “Life In A Northern Town.” Jennifer says the CD built for fans, “…also has some video content on it as well, that sort of shows a little peek into how we recorded this record, why we chose to record it the way that we did, and gives more insight into this idea of what it’s like to be a fan for us." Sean and all Sugarland fans are advised to open their CD’s carefully. Hidden inside jewel cases distributed across the country are 5 Platinum Tickets that entitle the holders to a slew of Sugarland prizes including a trip to the CMA Awards and private meetings with Jennifer Nettles, and yes Sean, Kristian Bush. In other album news on the CD release Tuesday, country fans will recognize a familiar voice on John Mellancamp’s latest project, Life, Death, Love & Freedom. That’s Karen Fairchild from Little Big Town singing on four of the CD’s fourteen tracks. Karen can also be seen in Mellancamp’s upcoming music video. Another voice familiar to country fans will be heard on Jessica Simpson’s upcoming country debut. Just back from her European tour, Dolly Parton will be in the studio this week to lend vocals to the title track of Jessica’s album, “Do You Know?” “I’m excited and honored that she recorded my song, but equally as excited that I am going to sing on it with her as well. Guess you could say it’s the ‘blonde leading the blonde’,” Dolly joked about the song that she wrote especially for Jessica. And finally, word is leaking that Toby Keith’s new and so far untitled album that will be released October 28th. And on August 5th , Sony BMG will mark the 40th anniversary of one of the pivotal events in Elvis Presley's career with the release of a four-CD set, Elvis: The Complete '68 Comeback Special.
