The great thing about country music is the interpretation of the song. Some will cry for any sad, country song. Others will see the inspirational message. "I’ll Walk" satisfies both sides. Kudos to the writers, Lonnie Fowler and Brent Wilson. The great thing about country fans is your willingness to participate and settle the debate. Thank you for voting. Stay tuned for your next opportunity to interact with The Country Station. The surprise you were promised is posted below.
First, an encore. I’ll Walk by Bucky Covington.
It also deserves to be noted that this “awesome video that represents I’ll Walk so well” was produced right here in the City of the Crosses by none other than KGRT’s resident video producer. And now, by no doing of her own, this video just so happens to be posted by Lyric Street Records on Bucky’s own MySpace Page for fans around the world to enjoy! The video’s received in the neighborhood of 2000 views in one week! How cool is that? What a surprise! (Thanks, Bucky!)
Now, here’s your bonus surprise. It’s ironic that so much can be made out of one slow single from a guy who admittedly likes as much rock in his country as he can get away with. You may remember the night on American Idol when Randy Jackson said that he felt like he was at a Bucky concert after his high-energy romp through “Fat Bottom Girls.” Mr. Stage Presence cites his influences and favorite artists as Jeff Healy, Eminem, Pink, and Elvis Presley. So it’s any wonder that he slows down long enough to breathe and sing "I’ll Walk" during his live shows. Rockin’ country is where this energetic charmer thrives, so to thank you for voting, the Blog Mouse unearthed this little gem that puts Bucky back in his element.
